The Owasso Fire Department is dedicated to serving the City of Owasso. We endeavor to be at our best when you are facing your worst moments.
Bio:
Chief Hurst joined the Owasso Fire Department as a volunteer Firefighter in 1996. In 1997, he began his career as a fulltime Firefighter/Medic and has served in the roles of Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief. He became Fire Chief in 2017.
Chief Hurst is a graduate from Owasso High School and has received certifications in Firefighter II, Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II, Hazardous Materials Technician, and National Register Paramedic. He earned a degree in Fire and Emergency Services and is a graduate of the Oklahoma Executive Fire Officer Program.
