ATTENTION: GARNETT ROAD CLOSURE HAS NOW HAS CHANGED
Contractors working with the City of Owasso and ODOT have determined that the road closure on Garnett will be expanded over a 3 day period.
Contractors will close one lane on (3/3/2020) during the day to excavate a trench for placement of the new water line; flaggers will be used to control traffic through the work zone, Once complete, metal plates will be placed to cover the area of excavation. This will allow both lanes to open during the night. On 3/4/2020 the opposite lane will be closed to excavate the other half of the road. Flaggers will again be used to control traffic in the work zone. Metal plates will be placed to cover the excavated areas to allow traffic to flow during the night time hours. On 3/5/2020 Contractors will close the entire section (SEE MAP) to place the water line casing. Work will begin on March 5th at 10 PM and be complete by 6 AM on March 6th at which time the road will re open in all directions.
Drivers are highly encouraged to take alternate routes during this time frame. Expect delays and use extreme caution.
