The City of Owasso Community Development Department is responsible for administering land use control mechanisms, including zoning and subdivision regulations, building codes, variance requests, and public nuisances.
DivisionsThe department is comprised of 3 divisions, each of which has varying degrees of responsibility:
- Building Inspections and Permits
- Code Enforcement
- Planning, Zoning, Land Development, Planning Commission, and Board of Adjustment
NOTICES:The Community Development Department held a Public Input Meeting to discuss proposed updates to the GrOwasso 2030 Land Use Master Plan with Owasso property owners and citizens on September 20, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Community Room at City Hall.
GrOwasso 2030 Land Use Master Plan Update
Public Hearings on the proposed update to the Land Use Master Plan were held at the Planning Commission meeting on November 12, 2018 and at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
The proposed Land Use Master Plan will be presented to the Planning Commission for consideration and recommendation at their meeting on December 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm. It will then be presented to the City Council for consideration and final action at their meeting on December 18, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Both of the meetings will be held at Old Central, located at 109 N Birch.
