Minimum Requirements and Position Summaries
EMERGENCY SERVICE DISPATCHER /JAILER
Department:
Police
Salary:
$12.00-13.50 depending on qualifications and experience
Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor, receives requests
for police, fire, and emergency medical assistance from the public. Dispatches
and/or relays calls for service to the appropriate police, fire, and emergency
medical agencies or units. Assists emergency service agencies by
collecting, retrieving, and disseminating information vital to operations.
Acts as a jailer providing supervision, meals and phone calls for
prisoners. Requires ability to work both day and night shifts in
increments of 8-12 hours. May include working holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma drivers’ license
- Computer experience preferred
- Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred certifications or the ability to obtain within the first
year of employment:
- OLETS certification
- Oklahoma State Jailer Certification
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- APCO certification
- EMD certification

ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
Department:
Public Works, Engineering Division
Salary:
$65,000 to $80,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Public Works Director, supervises the activities of the Engineering Division personnel and performs complex analytical work in providing office and engineering support and field engineering support for environmental, water, sewer, street, and other Public Works projects and programs, ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current codes and criteria.
Minimum Qualifications &/or Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer Registration required
- A minimum of five (5) years experience is required, preferably including experience in the design and/or construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, streets/roadways or storm water systems.
- Experience in project management desirable.
- A valid driver’s license.

GREENSKEEPER
Department:
Bailey Ranch Golf Course—Maintenance Division
Salary:
$9.73 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications.
Job Summary:
General maintenance of golf course, including mowing, weedeating, and watering. Raking and preparing bunkers. Bentgrass monitoring, including syringing, disease recognition and Bermuda grass encroachment reconciliation. Other miscellaneous duties associated with the golf course and set-up for daily play.
Desired Qualifications:
- 6 months golf course maintenance experience
- Experience with mowers, walking greens mowers, and spray rig helpful

PART TIME CLERK

Job Summary:
Responsible for answering the phones, filing work orders and invoices, electronic document distribution, coordinating work orders for building and grounds maintenance, coordinating work orders for vehicle maintenance, scheduling vehicle repairs, contacting vendors concerning billing issues, sorting and distributing office supplies for all departments.
Work Schedule

PART-TIME JANITOR

Salary:
$9.86 - $12.08/hr depending on experience and qualifications
Job Summary:
Responsible for cleaning, custodial work and maintenance of City Hall Complex consisting of City Hall, Police Station, and Old Central. Responsible for cleaning the carpet at two additional City facilities (Public Works and Community Center) on a monthly basis.
Work Schedule:
6:00P.M.-11:00P.M. Days and hours may occasionally vary based on scheduling needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License with good driving record
- Two years building and grounds maintenance preferred
- Plant maintenance experience, such as general knowledge of air conditioners and/or broilers a plus.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must have the ability to climb up and down and work from a ladder on a regular basis.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work without immediate supervision.

Work Schedule:
Must be able to work weekends. Work week will consist of around 40 hours per week through approximately September or October.
Job Summary:
Performs duties that enhance and maintain the integrity of the golf course as assigned by the superintendent, including but not limited to mowing, running a weedeater, raking and preparing bunkers, digging and raking.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT SUPERVISOR

Salary:
$18.24 - $24.17+/- depending upon qualifications and experience
Job Summary:
Coordinates, supervises, and reviews the activities relating to the operations and maintenance of the City of Owasso wastewater treatment facilities, monitors projects, provides technical expertise, and responds to after hour problems and emergencies. On-call status on a rotation basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification:
- Possession of an Oklahoma Class A wastewater works operator certification required
- Possession of an Oklahoma Class B wastewater laboratory certification required
Experience:
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience in wastewater treatment operation and maintenance. A minimum of three (3) years experience must be at the Class A level.
Education:
- An Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
Driver’s License:
- Possession of a valid Oklahoma Class D Drivers’ License at the time of appointment. Ability to obtain Class B Driver’s License within 6 months of appointment.
Respiratory Protective Equipment:
- Must be respirator/self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) certifiable
